What is Polyamide?
Polyamide is a type of polymer consisting of repeated building blocks of discrete units. It is a durable and strong material widely used in many industries. Polyamides are also commonly known as nylon or PA (Polyamide). Basically, they are formed by the combination of monomers containing an amide group (-CONH-).
General Properties of Polyamide:
Durability: Polyamides generally have high durability. This allows them to resist mechanical stresses, tensile forces and abrasion.
Flexibility: Polyamides are flexible and resistant to bending. This allows them to be used in many different applications.
Chemical Resistance: Polyamide materials are resistant to many chemicals. However, the level of resistance, especially to strong acids and bases, may vary depending on the type of material.
Heat Resistance: Polyamides are generally stable over a certain temperature range. However, their heat resistance properties may vary depending on the type of material and the conditions of use.
Absorption Properties: Polyamides can absorb water, which must be taken into account in certain applications. Water absorption can cause the dimensions of the material to change and some of its properties to change.
Ankara Bronz for Polyamide Order
There are various types of polyamides, and they can have different properties. Certain types, such as nylon 6 and nylon 6,6, are often used in industrial applications, the automotive industry, the textile industry, the production of plastic materials and many more.
Polyamide Usage Areas
It is used in the manufacture of simple gears, bearings, bolts, flanges, pulley belt pulleys, cutting plate, filter plate, machine table and all kinds of parts.
