Politef (PTFE)

What Is Politef?

Politef is a PTFE-based engineering plastic. PTFE stands for polytetrafluoroethylene, a high-performance polymer widely used in industrial applications and commonly known by the trade name Teflon.

Main PTFE Properties:

High Temperature Resistance: Stable across a wide temperature range.

Chemical Resistance: Suitable for use in many aggressive chemical environments.

Low Friction: Provides a very smooth, non-stick surface.

Electrical Insulation: Widely used in electrical and electronic applications.

Flexibility and Durability: Remains flexible even at low temperatures while maintaining durability.

These features make PTFE suitable for industrial processes, electronics, medical equipment, and many other demanding uses.

Product Types: pure, carbon-filled, bronze-filled, glass-fiber-filled, blocks, rods, sheets, carbon-filled sheets, film, gland packing, hoses, adhesive-backed products, and plain glass-fabric PTFE varieties are available at Ankara Bronz.
