What Is Carbon Filled Politef?

Carbon-filled PTFE is a reinforced PTFE material designed to improve the mechanical performance of standard PTFE while preserving its low friction and chemical resistance.

PTFE already offers low friction, strong chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, and electrical insulation, but its mechanical strength is generally limited. Carbon reinforcement helps improve its performance in demanding applications.

25% and 35% carbon-filled PTFE grades provide lower thermal expansion, higher wear resistance, and less deformation under load than pure PTFE.
